Northampton Saints will face defending champions Saracens on the opening day of the new Premiership season.

The Saints will travel to Allianz Park to face Mark McCall's side on October 19, before they take on Worcester Warriors in their first home game a week later.

Their first meeting with local rivals Leicester Tigers is at Franklin's Gardens on November 30, and the return fixture will be played in May.

This year's campaign starts six weeks later than normal because of the Rugby World Cup which begins in Japan in September.

Northampton will be hoping to build on last season's fourth-placed finish under Director of Rugby Chris Boyd.
