Shaun Boughton was one of the men who found the snake. He said: “We certainly weren’t expecting to find a snake when we turned up to work that morning! It was quite a surprise!”

The workers then called the RSPCA and inspector Jason Finch went to collect the lost 1.5ft-long snake. It's now being cared for by experts.

It’s not clear whether this snake was an escaped pet or whether he’d been abandoned.
