A lifeboat crew had to tow a yacht into harbour after she got into trouble off the North Norfolk coast.

The Wells lifeboat went to the rescue of the 26ft yacht Phaedra with two people on board after she developed engine trouble seven miles off Wells late on Saturday night (17 August).

The lifeboat launched from the Holkham Bay low water launch site and reached the yacht forty-five minutes later.

Two crew members were put on board and the yacht was in, arriving at Wells Fairway Buoy at 3:20 am this morning, where they waited for the tide.

At 6:10 am the tow resumed and the yacht was safely brought in and moored on the pontoon in the outer harbour.
