Ipswich Town have signed defender Kane Vincent-Young from Colchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, who an play in either full-back position, has agreed an initial three-year deal at Portman Road.
Ipswich also have the option of a further 12 months on top.
Vincent-Young made 126 appearances for Colchester, scoring four goals.
"We saw Kane's potential very quickly when he arrived from Tottenham Hotspur," Colchester Director of Football Tony Humes said.
"We are, of course, disappointed to lose him, but we also understand that's what we're about in wanting our Academy players to progress to a higher level.
"We firmly believe that Kane has the potential to go very high in the game with the attributes he possesses, and we wish him well for the future."
Ipswich have also signed Tottenham winger Anthony Georgiou on loan until January.
The 22-year-old is a full Cyprus international but is yet to make his Premier League debut for Spurs.
He spent last season on loan with Levante's B team in the third tier of Spanish football.
