Fire crews from three different counties were called just before midday to The East Anglia Galavanising factory in Old North Road, Sawtry to help get the flames under control.

Thick smoke could be seen coming from the building and blowing across the A1(M).

Cambridgeshire Police closed the B1043 Old North Road between St Andrews Road and the A1(M) southbound.

No one was injured as no one was working inside when the fire broke out, but six fire engines are still there to check for hotspots and damp the area down.
