Ipswich Town duo Paul Lambert and Kayden Jackson have both been nominated for the League One monthly awards.
Lambert is up for the manager award, and Jackson has been shortlisted for the player prize.
Town have made an unbeaten start to the League One season and currently sit third in the table with a game in hand on the top two.
The form of Jackson has played a big part in their impressive form, with the striker netting four goals in August and forming a formidable partnership with James Norwood up front.
Peterborough United midfielder Marcus Maddison is also in the running for the player award after scoring three goals and setting up another six in the opening month of the campaign, while Rochdale striker Ian Henderson and Lincoln City goalkeeper Josh Vickers are the other two players on the list.
Lambert will have to see off competition from Coventry City boss Mark Robins and Blackpool's Simon Grayson, while Danny Cowley has also been shortlisted despite joining Huddersfield Town from Lincoln City a couple of days ago.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
