A scuba diving teacher from Lowestoft whose brain was 'split in two' after a car accident is celebrating learning to walk again - by hiking from Lands End to John O'Groats for charity.

Zara Dyer had a seizure while driving in the Cayman Islands in 2016 and crashed into a concrete post.

She's had to learn how to walk, talk and even swallow all over again.

Zara says she decided to walk the length of Britain the moment she took her first steps in recovery and remembered the simple joy of walking.

The walk is set to complete later in the month and she's been walking ten hours a day to complete her goal.

She is raising money for Suffolk brain injury specialists Livability Icanho and Lions Club International - after both charities helped her in her recovery.
