Norwich's historic department store evacuated after fire

Multiple fire crews were sent to Norwich's most historic department store after a fire inside. They were called at 10:01am.

A police cordon was put in place while the fire crews dealt with the fire and the store was evacuated.

"It was like a bad foggy day, but the smoke was that bad we couldn't see up the road or even in the shop. We couldn't breathe in the shop it was that bad and we couldn't even see outside, so it was pretty bad."

No-one was hurt and the cordons began to be removed within an hour of the crews arriving on the scene.
