Over three quarters of people in East of England had poor mental health in last year

A survey has found over three-quarters of people in the East of England have experienced poor mental health in the last year.

The figures come as Public Health England launches a new mental health campaign called Every Mind Matters.

Results from the survey illustrate the large number of people affected by mental health concerns, such as feeling anxious, stressed, having low mood or trouble sleeping.

Every Mind Matters aims to tackle these symptoms. The platform shows people ways in which they can be better prepared for life's ups and downs. Also, users can create a personalised action plan.

A promotional film voiced by the Dukes and Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex will be broadcast on TV tonight.

Every Mind Matters is supported by a coalition of mental health organisations including Mind, Mental Health First Aid England, Time to Change and the Samaritans.
