Two men have been charged with murdering a father from Colchester earlier this year.

Murdoch Brown, 31, was stabbed to death on Buffett Way on Tuesday, 7 May, while another man was assaulted.

A 27-year-old from Hale End and 32-year-old from Leytonstone have now been charged with murder, attempted murder and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

They were arrested on Monday, 21 October alongside a 17-year-old from Edmonton, who has been released on bail until November.

A woman from Colchester was also arrested on Monday, on suspicion of assisting an offender, but the 27-year-old has been released under investigation.

Mr Brown was close to Ms Bunch's children, including Bella

Mr Brown left behind his partner Michelle Bunch and two children, Bonnie and Leo Bunch. He was also close to Ms Bunch's three other children.

Shortly after his murder, a 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and subsequently released under investigation. She has now been rearrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released under investigation again.
