The police watchdog is investigating after a 71-year-old man from Suffolk died while in custody.
The man became unwell after being arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Investigation Centre on Thursday. He died later in hospital.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct says it's reviewing CCTV from the custody suite and gathering statements from officers.
"The man was given medical assistance and was then taken to hospital by ambulance but was subsequently pronounced deceased. "A full investigation into the circumstances around the man’s death is underway and a post mortem examination will be held in due course." >
"Investigators have begun to gather statements from the officers involved and CCTV from the custody suite is being reviewed. The investigation is at an early stage and all officers are being treated as witnesses."
