Anglia weather: cloudy and wet to start, drier and brighter later

Today: A dry and increasingly bright day across much of the region, though one or two showers may be seen at times around the coast. Plenty of sunshine expected across the west of the region, with light northerly winds. Maximum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).

Tonight: Clear skies overnight will allow temperatures to drop away with a widespread frost expected by dawn and the odd patch of freezing fog also forming inland. Coastal showers dying away. Minimum temperature -1 deg C (30 deg F).

Tuesday: A cold, clear and frosty start away from any freezing fog that formed overnight. Remaining dry with sunny spells, though any fog will be slow to clear. Feeling cold. Maximum temperature 7 deg C (45 deg F).

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: A chilly start on Wednesday, though staying largely dry with hazy sunshine, mainly in the west. Turning windier and milder through Thursday, though dry. Breezy Friday, with rain at times.
