Chelmsford is East Anglia's newest city, the birth place of radio and the county town of Essex has been held by the Conservatives for six decades.
They had a healthy majority of 13,572 at the last election, but the Lib Dems took the city council from the Tories in May and would need a tough 21% swing to win in Chelmsford.

There are four candidates standing for election in the Chelmsford constituency in next Thursday's General Election.

Election day is Thursday 12 December with polling stations open from 7am until 10pm.
There are 83 candidates standing in the 2019 General Election in the 18 constituencies in Essex.
That is 13 fewer than stood in the county in the 2017 election.
