Ska band Madness will be performing at Thetford Forest, near Brandon, on 20 June next year.

The band, known for a string of hits such as One Step Beyond, Baggy Trousers, and House of Fun, said to fans: “Madheads come down to the woods, you’ll be in for a big surprise!”

The concert is part of Forest Live, an outdoor live music series held every year by Forestry England. Madness will also be playing at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire as part of this series.

The group spent more weeks in the charts during the 80s than any other band. Now, they're celebrating their 40th anniversary.

Tickets will cost £47.00 (plus £5.70 booking fee) and will go on sale at 9am Friday 13 December. They can be bought through the Forestry England box office (03000 680400) or bought online at www.forestryengland.uk/music.
