Police name man stabbed to death during fight

A man who was stabbed to death after a fight in Milton Keynes has been named by police.

Mohamud Hashi, 22, died after an incident involving a group of men in a woodland area on the Fishermead estate around 3.20pm on Wednesday 11 December.

A post-mortem examination found his cause of death was a stab wound to the right thigh.

Thames Valley Police's Major Crime Unit launched a murder investigation into his death, which happened near a bridge leading to Milton Keynes town centre.

Detectives have urged members of the public to come forward with any information.

Three men arrested on suspicion of murder remain in custody, while four men have been released with no further action.

We continue to carry out a thorough investigation in relation to this incident.

We have arrested a number of men in connection with the death of Mr Hashi and five remain in custody. We continue to support Mr Hashi's family at this very difficult time.
