MK Dons manager Russell Martin has made Norwich City striker Carlton Morris his first signing since taking charge of the club.
Morris, 24, was on loan at fellow League One club Rotherham United earlier in the season but struggled to nail down a regular starting place.
However, he still managed to score four goals and register six assists in 27 games for the Millers.
Morris will now spend the rest of the campaign on loan at the Dons as they battle to avoid relegation.
Martin played with Morris during his time at Norwich and believes he will be a big asset in the Dons' quest to stay up.
“He’s a real athlete and he gives us another option at the top end of the pitch, as he can be a focal point for us to play off," said Martin.
“I’ve spoken often about bringing in the right character and Carlton certainly fits that bill. There are not many bigger characters than him that I’ve come across, especially at his age. I’m not only pleased about what we’re adding on the pitch, but off it as well.”
Meanwhile, Norwich defender Akin Famewo is also heading out on loan for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old has joined Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.
Elsewhere, Peterborough United have signed highly-rated Barnet midfielder Jack Taylor for an initial £500,000 fee and Northampton Town striker Billy Waters has joined Newport County on loan for the rest of the season.
