Police appealing for witnesses after elderly woman was hit by a car in Stevenage

Hertfordshire police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman was hit by a car in Stevenage.

The woman in her 80’s was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta on Broadwater Crescent Wednesday morning.

She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, where she remains in a critical condition.

Police investigating the incident were hopeful people would come forward with dashcam footage:

"This occurred at a very busy time in the morning, and we believe a fair amount of people would have witnessed the incident, or driven past the scene soon after. If you did witness the incident and haven’t spoken to us yet, please get in contact as a matter of urgency."
