Former para gets 'life changing' bionic arm

A former para from Colchester who lost his arm while serving in Afghanistan has become the first veteran to get a 3D printed limb on the NHS.

Darren Fuller says it has changed his life, giving him the chance to do things with his wife and 4 year old daughter that haven't been possible since he was injured by a mortar bomb.

I was right handed before so I had to learn how to become left handed, which was one of the main obstacles.

Just being able to interact with Sky more rather than watching her do stuff, doing the stuff with her has been absolutely fantastic. It's quite emotional talking about it because that's one of the main things I wanted out of it, more of a normal family life. >
