Police confirm teenager was electrocuted by overhead power lines at Norwich station

British Transport Police have confirmed that a teenager was killed after being electrocuted by overhead power lines at Norwich station on Wednesday.

In a statement, a spokesperson said:

Officers were called to Norwich station at 1.46am on February 26, following reports of a casualty.

Paramedics also attended however a 17-year-old young man was sadly pronounced dead.

His family have been informed and officers are continuing to work to establish the full circumstances behind his death.

The station was closed and all services cancelled for a number of hours on Wednesday morning after the incident.
