A patient at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage has tested positive for coronavirus, it's been confirmed.
A deep clean has been carried out following the diagnosis and members of staff who may have had close contact with the patient will be given advice on what symptoms to look out for if they become unwell.
Patients who need emergency care at Addenbrooke's are still being told to come to the hospital as usual.
The news comes on the same day a case was identified at the Cambridge hospital. The Trust is now trying to trace any staff that may have been in contact with the patient.
A Hertfordshire-based paramedic with the East of England Ambulance Service also tested positive for the virus.
The number of confirmed cases in the UK reached 590 on Thursday - up by more than 130 in the last 24 hours.
As is the case at Addenbrooke's, patients with appointments at the Lister Hospital are still being told to attend the hospital as normal.
