Blood donation centres across the East are asking for people to keep their appointments through the coronavirus lockdown, adding that donations have dropped by 15 percent in recent weeks.
Giving blood is of the things you ARE allowed to leave home to do under the current guidelines. The national body responsible for blood supply in NHS hospitals said that it will need donors “more than ever” over the coming weeks and months.
NHS Blood and Transplant says there are some restrictions because of coronavirus but it is still vital people keep donating to help vulnerable patients.
