The number of hospital patients in the Anglia region who have died after being tested positive for coronavirus has reached 56.
The figures have been calculated from statements issued by NHS hospital trusts in the East of England along with Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes up until the weekend.
The highest number of deaths in the region has been recorded at Milton Keynes hospital with 11.
There have been seven deaths at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and six at Colchester Hospital.
Most of the patients who have died were aged over 60 and most had underlying health conditions.
Public Health England said that by 5pm on Saturday 28 March 2020, 1,228 patients in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus had died.
