Colchester United chairman and owner Robbie Cowling says supporters may end up watching league games online if the football season does resume in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The U's chief is of the opinion matches will be played behind closed doors and says if that happens, streaming will be the way forward for fans initially.

In a statement on the club's official website Mr Cowling told fans there's still so much uncertainty as they take their lead from the EFL.

"On the football front, there remains so much uncertainty but as directed by the EFL, we are preparing to resume training on the 13th April with a view to resuming the season in May.
