Norfolk schoolboy jumping for the NHS after being inspired by Captain Tom

A boy from Norfolk has been inspired to complete his own marathon fundraising effort by Captain Tom Moore.

Devon Hampton, 8, from Thetford, wondered what he could do for the NHS after seeing the 99-year-old veteran do 100 laps of his garden and raise millions of pounds.

Being 92 years younger, he thought he could probably be a bit more energetic so he is attempting to do 1,000 star jumps on Friday, 24 April.

He will attempt 100 an hour from 9am, and is fundraising via a JustGiving page set up by his mother Emma.

On the page she wrote: "Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus.

"It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work."
