An historian from Cambridgeshire has been marking VE Day weekend by dressing up in Second World war uniforms for her daily walks.

31-year old Kindra Jones was meant to be getting married this weekend but had to postpone her big day because of the pandemic.

Instead she's been walking from Ely Cathedral each afternoon over the Bank Holiday weekend in different costumes.

She's chosen her route to pass as many care homes as possible in the hope that her costumes may raise a smile from residents as the nation remembers Victory in Europe Day.
