The landlord of a pub in the village of Ivinghoe in Buckinghamshire says he's overwhelmed after residents crowdfunded £13,000 to support their local.
Mick Bushnell has run The Rose and Crown for the last three years and has been closed since the start of lock down.
To keep the business going he suggested people pre-order bar tabs or meal vouchers to redeem when they re-open.
"A little help now means we can keep our heads above water and survive this downturn in trade, which more importantly means we can protect jobs and keep the pub going. We're not looking for charity. Everyone's struggling. But by pre booking a meal or some drinks for later in the year you can help us a HUGE amount."
