Parade gives Northampton care home residents chance to see families face to face

A drive-by parade has been held at a care home in Northampton, giving residents the chance to see their families.

Burlington Care Home hosted the parade - which featured dancing, banners and balloons - on Friday, 26 June.

The entertainment was provided by Born to Perform dance school, which is based in the town.

It's been so long for people to be without regular contact and regular visits, and although we've arranged one to one visits for people safely outside in the car park, we wanted something that was fun, that would bring people together.

The chance for families to visit residents at the care home has been severely limited during the coronavirus outbreak.

But they were able to wave from their cars as they drove past the front of home, with all the residents seated outside.
