Young motorcyclist killed in a crash in Suffolk

A motorbike rider in his 20s has been killed in a crash at Stradishall, Suffolk

A motorcyclist in his twenties has been killed after his bike crashed in Suffolk.

Police say motorbike was the only vehicle involved in the accident, which happened on the A143 at Stradishall close to Highpoint prison between Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill on Sunday morning,

The vehicle was a black KTM 1290 Super Duke and the rider died at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics and a member of the public who came to his assistance.

The A143 was closed between Highpoint Prison and the Wickhambrook crossroads at the B1063 while a crash investigation took place, reopening at 4pm.  

Suffolk Police are appealing for people to come forward who witnessed the collision at just after 11.30am or who may have seen a motorbike matching the description riding in the area beforehand.

Officers would like to hear from anyone driving along the A143 who may have captured any footage on a dashcam.
