Norfolk: Wind farm operators hoping for fishermen resolution

Fishermen in North Norfolk are protesting that their livelihoods are being hit by offshore wind farms.

They say they're being squeezed out and that their fishing gear's being damaged by boats servicing the Sheringham Shoal wind farm.

The company operating the wind farm met fishermen today and says it's hoping the two sides can work together.

Fishermen in Norfolk have been protesting over the loss of fishing grounds and damage to their equipment, caused by the wind farms off the county's coast.

The Norfolk Independent Fishermen's Association says the wind farm operators are showing little respect to the coastal fishing communities.

They've been holding a demonstration outside the offices of Statoil in Egmere near Fakenham.
