Man seriously injured in Norwich attack

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Norwich.

It happened late this morning in Southwell Road close to the city centre.

Following a police operation, two men have been detained on suspicion of GBH and have been taken into custody.

A number of roads were closed around Hall Road area but they have now reopened.

Anyone with any information regarding the incident should contact Police on 101.


Men bailed after Ipswich attack

Police have bailed two men arrested in relation to a GBH assault in Ipswich.

Officers were called around 10pm on Friday after reports of a man found at the bottom of a stairwell in Wellington Court with life-threatening injuries.

A 34-year-old and a 35-year-old man, both from Ipswich, were arrested on suspicion of GBH. They have now been bailed until the 28th of September.

The 36-year-old victim is still in a critical condition in Addenbrooke's Hospital with head injuries.

Man held after Ipswich attack

A 34-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested after another man was left in a critical condition following an attack in Ipswich last night.

The victim who is 36 suffered head injuries in the incident which happened at Wellington Court. He's now being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. His alleged attacker is being held on suspicion of assault and GBH with intent.

Man critical after street attack

A man is in a critical condition after being attacked during New Year's Eve celebrations in Colchester.

The unnamed 25-year-old has serious head injuries following an incident at around 2am.

Police were stopped by a passer-by and arrived at the scene to find paramedics treating the victim.

He was taken to Colchester General Hospital before being transferred to Romford's Queens Hospital.

A 21 year-old suspect was detained at a nearby takeaway on suspicion of assault


Man needed 26 stitches after attack

A Luton man needed 26 stitches in his face after being attacked on Poynters Road in the town. The victim, a 22 year old man, was walking along with his friend were near to the junction with Leagrave High Street, when they were approached by three men on Saturday afternoon.

One of the men pulled out a kitchen knife and cut the victim across the face. He spent the night in hospital being treated for a five inch cut.

Unprovoked attack

A teenage boy suffered a fractured eye socket, fractured cheekbone and a severe laceration to his face in an unprovoked attack at Canvey Island in Essex. At around 1pm on Thursday, the 16 year old was assaulted by two men in Mornington Road, Canvey Island close to Smallgains Park.

The first suspect is described as white, in his 30s, about 5ft 9ins tall, medium build with short black hair and the second suspect is described as a white, in his 30s, 6ft 2ins tall and a muscular build with short black hair.
