Bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion at Thetford Forest on the Norfolk / Suffolk border after a 500 pound bomb and live mortar shell were found.
They were discovered yesterday. A mile wide cordon around the site has now been lifted
A road in Peterborough has been re-opened following a bomb alert.
Oxney Road was closed off after a suspect device was reported to police this afternoon at a property in Augusta Close.
The road was re-opened shortly after 8pm.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team from RAF Wittering took away the device to carry out a controlled explosion.
