Factory fire 'could burn for days'

A fire on an industrial estate in Cambridgeshire may not be extinguished for several days.

The blaze broke out at the Woodcraft factory in Howard Road, Eaton Socon, on Monday morning.

It took more than 50 firefighters to bring it under control. One officer was taken to hospital with heat exhaustion.

Gavin Hammond from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We're on an industrial estate and to the rear of the premises we've got housing estates as well.

"Our priority is obviously to make sure the public is safe and obviously to protect neighbouring buildings and premises."

It's not yet known what caused the fire and an investigation is now underway.
