Millions of terrestrial television viewers in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, who get their pictures beamed from the Sandy Heath transmitter will need to re-tune their Freeview TVs or set-top boxes on Wednesday 9 May.

The re-tune is needed so that some channels aren't lost. Digital UK says the signal on other channels will be boosted at the same time so they should be available to more viewers. The work on the transmitter is taking place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
