Queen's Baton Relay a hit with the people of Suffolk

In 44 days time the country will host its first international games since the London Olympics, when the Commonwealth Games begin in Glasgow.

And just as the Olympics had its torch, the Commonwealth Games has the Queen's Baton, which has so far toured 70 countries and clocked up more than 100,000 miles on its journey round the world.

And today it's our region's turn, with events at four locations in Suffolk.

Ogogo: Honoured to take part on baton relay

Anthony Ogogo told ITV News Anglia that he was honoured to be able to take part in the Queen's Baton relay for the Commonwealth Games.

The boxer was carrying the baton in his home town of Lowestoft.

"Things like this don't happen vey often around here, so when something like this comes to the town, comes to the region, it really should be embraced and that's exactly what has happened today."
