A tiny railway station which nestles in the flat landscape of the Cambridgeshire Fens has seen passenger numbers soar by an incredible 1200%.
Shippea Hill station is a request stop between Ely and Lakenheath and in 2015/16 was the least-used station in the UK rail network with just 12 passengers.
That number has now leapt to 156 passengers in the latest data from the Office of Road and Rail following publicity about the low figures.
A railway station in Angus, Scotland is now the least used in Britain. Just 24 passengers travelled to or from Barry Links station in 2016/17.
