Travel update: c2c trains cancelled until at least 12 noon

Train services from South Essex into London on c2c have been cancelled until at least 12 noon as a result of storm damage. Operator c2c had hoped trains would begin running again at 9am.

"We do not expect trains to resume until at least 12.00 and our advice remains not to travel.

We currently have power failures between Fenchurch Street and West Ham, and between Purfleet and Tilbury. There has also been debris blocking the track at Thorpe Bay and Upminster.

We are working with Network Rail to tackle these issues, and we will resume train services as soon as we can.

We’re sorry for the impact this has had on your day."
