Inquest hears how girl cried for help after driving into river

An inquest has been told an 18 year old girl could be heard shouting for help as her car sank into a river near Peterborough, after she accidentally drove off the road.

Hannah Yates from Whittlesey drowned in November last year in the River Nene, next to a notorious stretch of road known as North Bank.

A safety barrier has since been installed on the bend where it happened.
