A couple from Northampton facing fraud charges in America have been told their appeal to the European Court of Human Rights to put their extradition on hold, has been turned down.
Paul and Sandra Dunham are accused of embezzling more than a million dollars in a work expenses fraud which they deny.
They were given a two week "grace" period after they lost their appeal at the High Court. If the hold had been approved, it would have given them more time to fight through the European Court.
Now it looks likely they will be extradited to face trial in America. They expect to be jailed while they await trial.
