A retired couple from Northampton have been told they will be handed over to US Marshals at Heathrow Airport on Thursday for extradition to America on fraud charges.
Paul and Sandra Dunham lost a High Court battle last month to block their extradition.
58-year-old Mr Dunham was chief executive and president of a US electronics company.
He has been indicted on 13 counts of fraud and money laundering by an American grand jury.
Mrs Dunham faces eight counts. The couple deny the allegations.
"Yesterday was mostly taken up by speaking to friends and family who are as shocked and devastated as we are," Mr Dunham told ITV News Anglia.
"We're desperately trying to find a home for our dogs because you know we hadn't planned any of that."
