Norwich City have reportedly entered the race to sign Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban as they look to build for a promotion push in The Championship next season.

Sky Sports claim that the Canaries are planning a move for the 26-year-old, who hit 22 goals last term.

Fellow relegated side Cardiff City have already had a bid in the region of £3 million accepted for Grabban, but their interest may have cooled following the signings of Reading's Adam Le Fondre and former Manchester United forward Federico Macheda.

Several other Championship clubs are also thought to be monitoring the situation.

Meanwhile, Norwich boss Neil Adams says that he doesn't want to lose Gary Hooper this summer.

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the striker, but Adams has told the club's official website that Hooper is very much in his plans.

“There’s been no transfer request from Gary Hooper,” he said.

"I’ve told him I need him here to hopefully be part of pushing this team back into the Premier League, and he was happy with that.”
