Norfolk sea rescue

A father has thanked an RNLI lifeguard who helped him rescue his exhausted son and nephew from a dangerous rip current off Cromer beach in Norfolk.

The two boys were swimming off Stone Groyne when the current swept them out to sea and out of their depth.

The father of one of the boys, who is also uncle to the other, was in the water with them on a stand-up paddle board. He managed to reach the boys and got them to cling onto his board.

RNLI lifeguard Adam Brayne went out to their aid. He quickly paddled out through the surf and took the boys safely back to shore one by one.
