Last month, the national charity for sick children WellChild named Laughlin as its Most Inspirational Child of the Year. Prince Harry presented him with the award at a London hotel after the youngster, from Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, received hundreds of nominations for the title. The Chief Executive of WellChild said Laughlin had come straight from a bout of chemotherapy to attend the awards and gone straight back to hospital for more treatment afterwards.

He was just a fantastic little guy and his family are fantastic too. This is really sad news.
