Independent review launched into treatment of foster carers

An independent review has been launched into historical complaints of alleged unfair treatment of foster carers in Norfolk.

The county council's head of children's services, Sheila Lock, has ordered the investigation which is backed by police and the NHS.

Councillors and MPs have raised concerns about the treatment of foster parents in the past.

Last week it emerged a children's services worker had been sacked over claims a child was unfairly removed from their carers.
