Pedestrian killed in Lowestoft crash named

The 35-year-old man who died following a road traffic collision in Tom Crisp Way in Lowestoft has been named as Scott Smith from Shadingfield Close in the town.

Mr Smith was a pedestrian who was crossing the road around 5pm on Thursday, 16 July, when he involved in a collision with an Audi A3.

He sustained chest injuries and, despite the efforts of paramedics to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed until 8.45pm while an investigation got underway at the scene.
