A survey by a weapons awareness charity has found a quarter of teenagers in Clacton have been threatened with a knife.

Only Cowards Carry spoke to nearly 500 youngsters and 31% said they knew someone who carried a blade.

More than two-fifths said they had been approached by a gang.

The charity was set up by Caroline Shearer after her son Jay Whiston was stabbed to death.
