The Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has made a visit to our region to see a new social housing development.

He met with bosses from Labour-led Stevenage Borough Council which has funded the project through efficiency savings it's made within its budgets.

31 new council homes are being built as part of the scheme.

"Housing is crucial and housing that people can afford is crucial.

Here we've got a development going on of new council housing which will be life-time tenancy for people."
