Misconduct hearing begins over treatment of autistic man

Two Bedfordshire Police officers facing a misconduct hearing over their treatment of an autistic man in Luton.

Faruk Ali was pursued by two officers after he started running away from their police car in 2014. His family say he was assaulted.

PCs Christopher Thomas and Christopher Pitts were cleared of any criminal charges during a trial in 2014. A subsequent inquiry found both men should still face a misconduct hearing.
