First World War museum showcases the Royal Flying Corps

A new museum at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome near Chelmsford has been officially opened by Maldon MP and culture secretary John Whittingdale.

The aerodrome became the base of the Royal Flying Corps 37 Home Defence Squadron two years after the First World War began. Now, a century on, the museum gives a fascinating insight into what life was like on site. Here's a report by Liz Summers...
