A family from Syria has opened a cafe in Wivenhoe in Essex, which they hope will help refugees as well as give locals a unique taste of Syrian food.

When Abdul and his wife Fatema realised they couldn't return to their war-torn country they set about building a business to celebrate their culture.

The couple came to the UK for Fatema to study, but very quickly they realised their country and their families were in an horrific situation.

The war has now raged for almost six years and millions of people have been displaced.
