Inmate attacked three people in three days - at two different prisons

A prisoner who was moved from HMP Wayland in Norfolk after attacking a fellow inmate and a guard went on to assault another prison officer.

The original incident happened at about 1.30pm on Friday, July 21, at the jail at Watton, near Thetford.

Police confirmed an inmate and a prison officer were attacked with "a bladed weapon" and both suffered cuts which required hospital treatment.

But after the assailant was moved to HMP Lincoln, he was involved in another assault against a guard which caused minor injuries.

Norfolk Police said it was investigating.
